Job Role: Safety Critical Trainer & Assessor
Due to continuing expansion at ARC, we are looking for an experienced and qualified NSAR Assured Rail Trainer & Assessor. We have vacancies for full-time, permanent and part-time roles at both our Wales and London training centres, with a competitive salary for these positions, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
The London vacancies will be based at our Stratford Training Centre in East London, E15 1BZ.
The Wales vacancies will be based at our Head Office in Treforest just outside Cardiff, CF37 5YR.

Mandatory Qualification and Experience Requirements;
To be considered for the role of Safety Critical Trainer & Assessor you will need to meet the minimum:
- Hold a Level 3 training/teaching or equivalent recognized qualification
- Approved NSAR assured trainer and/or assessor
- Able to deliver a minimum of Personal Track Safety (PTS) AC and DCCR competencies
- Flexible with working hours to meet industry needs, including nights and weekends where required
- Travel nationally, throughout the UK to meet industry needs, including nights and weekends where required
- Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills
Desirable Qualifications and Experience Requirements;
As a Trainer & Assessor for ARC Rail, you will already ideally hold additional capabilities or willing to upskill (if required by ARC) to deliver competent training for;
- Non-accredited in-house qualifications including – Manual Handling, 1st Aid and Small Tools
- Safety Critical and Track Maintenance qualifications including – Track Induction, COSS, etc.
- Safety Critical Assessment qualifications including – COSS, ES, etc.
Main responsibilities for position will include but is not limited to;
- Delivering high-quality training courses
- Ensuring the courses you deliver are compliant, in-line with NSAR standards and regulations
- Build and maintain learner relationships, to achieve positive training outcomes and feedback
- Communicate effectively with management and office staff, providing participant and training course updates as and when required
- Keep up to date with the Rail Industry in general and any advances in Training and Assessment development approaches to ensure the provision of a “best practice” service to clients.
