Cancellations:

  • If ARC cancel the course an alternative date, as early as possible will be offered.
  • If ARC Rail cancel the course, if an alternative date is not acceptable a full refund will be payable.
  • Any refunds generated as the result of a course cancellation will generate an £25.00 administration charge.
  • If the client cancels the booking without 7 days’ notice prior to the training date, the full fee will remain payable.
  • If the client cancels the booking over 7 days but within 10 days 75% of the fee remains payable
  • If the client cancels the booking over 10 days but within 14 days 50% of the fee remains payable
  • If the client cancels the booking at any time, the deposit payment remains payable and non-refundable

Medical/ Sickness cancellations:

  • Should the client cancel the booking due to a Medical Condition, a doctor’s letter will be required as proof. All cancellation procedures listed above remain applicable.
  • Should the client cancel the booking due to Ill Health, a doctor’s letter will be required as proof. All cancellation procedures listed above remain applicable.
  • Should the client fail to attend a date of training after they have started the training course, the full course payment remains payable and non-refundable.

Medical, drugs & alcohol failure:

  • If the client fails their Medical, you will not be able to continue with your training course. The deposit payment remains payable and non-refundable.
  • If the client fails their Drugs and/or Alcohol Test, they will not be able to continue with their training course. The deposit payment remains payable and non-refundable.

E-Learning:

If a candidate does not complete/pass E-Learning, the candidate will not be allowed to
partake/attend the PTS course at ARC Rail Training Ltd.
If a candidate is to reattend, a new booking will be required and will need to be paid for in
full.

Candidates are:

  • Provided additional learning material called ‘PTS Handbook’ and ‘PTS Key Point Cards’
  • Advised to revise as much as possible from all the material and E-learning
  • Must achieve a minimum score of 5/6 on the mandatory and then 10/14 on the nonmandatory questions to pass

If a candidate fails their Verification Exam, the candidate will not be able to continue with
course. This is to be compliant with Network Rail standards.

If a candidate fails the Verification Exam and wishes to re-attend – a new booking will be
required and will need to be paid for in full
